3 Rules to Marketing Your Zazzle Store with Twitter
By Nyxxie
1. Enhance Your Twitter Presence - When starting Twitter change your avatar to either a photo of yourself, your Zazzle logo, or anything relevant. People like to see that you are human or have some sort of personality. You do not want to use the generic Twitter avatar because it isn’t as trustworthy. It can give the impression of being a spammer or someone that has joined Twitter but isn’t serious. - Change your Twitter background. There are many sites that give free Twitter backgrounds, and many sites show you how to make your own. Here are just a few but you can find many with a simple Google Search: Twitter Backgrounds FreeTwitterDesigner 2. Gather People to Follow (Most of the time they follow you back) - Start with friends, family and people that you know. These are the folks that are behind you no matter what, and will help you out by re-tweeting your posts. - Follow other Zazzlers. Zazzler’s have to help each other out! When you follow another Zazzler, it is important that you help to re-tweet their posts. Please answer this question: What good is it to follow each other if we don’t help each other? There’s a very slim chance that we will buy each other’s products, so instead, we must help promote! There are Twitter threads in the Zazzle forum with Zazzlers listing their Twitter address: Stand Out On Twitter Twitter Tweet Tweet Shout it Out - Follow regular people. This is very important, these are the consumers that can either buy your product or re-tweet your product to their followers. I love using TweepSearch.com to find people because it lets you search within user bios. Let’s say that you run a sports centric Zazzle store, well with TweepSearch.com you can search bios for “sports“, “football” , “baseball”, etc. By doing this you ensure that the people you follow will enjoy your tweets if they choose to follow you back. - The quality over quantity saying works with people too. Remember that it’s not always about how many followers you have, but the quality of followers you have. You want to follow people that have a timeline that shows they have re-tweeted posts, are responding to people, and are posting with informative tweets. 3. Remember that Twitter is a Social Network - Treat Twitter as if it’s a party. You wouldn’t go to a party and start shouting in the middle of the room about how you just made a soccer T-shirt and that everyone should check it out. You have to build some sort of relationship with your followers. You have to listen to what others are tweeting about. Respond to tweets sincerely and re-tweet posts. People greatly appreciate this, they will remember you, and most importantly they will re-tweet your posts when given the chance. |
